As our new HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing both operational HR processes and strategic initiatives. The role is a combination of hands-on HR administration with business partnering responsibilities, ensuring smooth HR operations while fostering employee engagement across the organization. 

The role is for a fixed term of up to one year, with the possibility of extension. 

 

Practical Information:  

Location: Budapest, Hungary | Reports to: CEE Regional People & Culture Manager | Work Arrangement: Hybrid | Visa Requirements: Valid working Visa for Hungary | Language Requirements: Fluent/Professional level of Hungarian and English, written and verbal  

 

The role:  

  • Coordinate payroll and ensure full compliance with Hungarian labor law, internal policies, and reporting requirements 
  • Manage end‑to‑end HR administration, including onboarding/offboarding, employee documentation, HRIS (Workday) updates, and time reporting 
  • Maintain accurate employee data, prepare HR reports, and support audits and cooperation with finance and other relevant departments 
  • Partner with managers on performance management, talent development, career growth, and succession planning 
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, data analysis, action planning, and promoting company culture and values 
  • Support organizational changes, workforce planning, and continuous improvement of HR processes, collaborating with Talent Acquisition and other stakeholders 

What we need to see from you

What we need to see from you:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, Business, or related field 
  • Solid background in HR administration and payroll; experience in HR business partnering is advantageous 
  • Good working knowledge of Hungarian labor law 
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and advanced Excel skills 
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with integrity and discretion 
  • Strong communication and coaching skills; ability to influence and build relationships at all levels 
  • A proactive, collaborative, and results-oriented mindset with a passion for process improvement
