PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess, plan, and implement care for individual patients.
Maintain patient flow taking them to and from exam rooms.
Record patient data before each visit; vitals, height, weight, allergies, medication, and reason for the visit.
Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular injections and IV therapy.
Assist providers with patient examinations.
Clean/sterilize exam or procedure room and instruments.
Schedule patient rests, procedures, hospital admission, and appointment follow-ups.
Compile information and prepare reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED and graduate of an approved school of nursing.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting desired but not required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid license to practice in the state of employment and current CPR certification required.
IV Certification is desired.
