Voilà is a new team dedicated to launching and scaling Sobeys new e-commerce grocery home delivery business. This is a rare opportunity to join a start-up within a larger organization. You will help launch and operate a new brand in the Alberta, Ontario and Quebec markets powered by Ocado Group’s world-leading e-commerce grocery platform. We are looking for experienced, passionate, curious, customer-obsessed, and entrepreneurial individuals to join a diverse and driven team whose mission is to help Canadians stay one step ahead of their busy lives. Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- You will be the face of the Voilà brand, interacting with our vibrant and diverse customer base.
- You are passionate about delivering a great customer service experience.
- You will be empowered to make decisions, to do the right thing for the customer.
- You will get to explore the various neighbourhoods of the Greater Calgary Area while delivering groceries to the many individuals and families that choose Voilà.
- You enjoy being part of a large team, but appreciate the autonomy of working independently.
What you have to offer:
- You have experience in providing excellent customer service.
- You have a 5-class Alberta license.
- Clean drivers abstract with 3 demerit points or less.
- You are able to comfortably lift up to and including 50 lbs (25 kilos) at a time (repeatedly throughout the shift) with the consideration that you may need to navigate stairs.
- You are comfortable driving in urban, suburban and rural areas using highways, main roads, side streets and country roads.
- You are confident driving in daytime and nighttime conditions, and in inclement weather.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays, as delivery operations run 7 days/week
- Must be able to lift up to 6 feet high (reaching above head)
Working Conditions
- Company uniform will be provided
- Paid training during first week of hire
- Home-delivery environment: you’ll drive a company-assigned vehicle and deliver door-to-door.
- May involve early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays and variable shifts.
- Work includes physical activity: lifting, carrying, climbing stairs, sometimes in adverse weather or inclement conditions.
