<p>SMX is looking for a highly motivated <strong>Network Engineer&nbsp;</strong>(mid or senior level) with demonstrated experience to perform Network Engineering, Design, and Analysis for use in operational environments.</p> <p>As the Network Engineer, you will join a team of highly driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting critical programs across the NAVAIR community.</p> <p><strong>This is an onsite role providing support for our client at Patuxent River NAS, MD.</strong></p> <p>The Network Engineer will:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the Network Subject Matter Expert for all PMA-262 SW products</li> <li>Plan Networks / NetConfig roadmap for all SW products (Ports Protocols Services Matrix updates for new capabilities, developing aircraft IP files, etc.)</li> <li>Plan, prepare, and review all Networks artifacts</li> <li>Coordinate with Platform CYBER on Network needs for external connectivity&nbsp;</li> <li>Coordinate with PMA Mission Systems team on all networks updates required to support Fleet operations</li> <li>Lead SME for Networks SW issues and troubleshooting for the Fleet and the SSA</li> <li>Lead reviewer and submitter of Networks NATOPS inputs (checklists, Warnings / Cautions / Notes, supplementary info, etc.)</li> <li>Work with CM on maintaining HSCMs for all networks products</li> <li>Work with SSA on updating and maintaining the System Admin Manual</li> <li>Lead and conduct Network integration and testing efforts in the labs and on Test assets</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills and Experience: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Clearance Required: Secret <ul> <li>Must be able to obtain TS/SCI and&nbsp;be willing to submit for a Polygraph</li> </ul> </li> <li>BS or BA degree in a technical discipline <ul> <li>Allowable Substitution: An Associate's and 4 additional years of experience, or 6 additional years of experience in lieu of degree</li> </ul> </li> <li>At least five (5) years of in network implementation and sustainment</li> <li>Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP</li> <li>In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, and routers</li> <li>Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently</li> <li>Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-FI and security infrastructure</li> <li>Security+ and Network+ required prior to starting in position</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Networking on aircraft platforms</li> </ul> <p>Application Deadline: 2/2/2026</p> <p>#cjpost #LI-ONSITE</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
