Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Shop Operator to join our team in Salisbury, United States. As a Machine Shop Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, operating various machines to produce high-quality parts and components.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to produce parts to specification
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality and accuracy
  • Perform regular quality checks and maintain detailed records of production activities
  • Monitor machine performance and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues as they arise
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a machine shop environment
  • Proficiency in operating CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control procedures
  • Basic computer skills for operating machine interfaces and recording production data
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and metal fabrication techniques
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Technical certifications in machining preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts as needed
