Job Description

•Strip, inspect and assemble dry gas seals.

•Complete the grooving activities for repair

•Dismantling and cleaning of seals and parts under repair.

•Assemble and repair mechanical seals and seal cartridges in accordance with John Crane drawings and specifications.

•Define and write strip and inspection reports

•Complete the set up and test of different types/sizes of dry gas seals

•Manual machining of components where required.

•Lapping, polishing and cleaning when necessary, following the set standard processes.

•Ensures quality & safety within functions/ tasks performed by himself/herself and staff reporting to him/her.

•Responsible for exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self and others within the organization.

•Ensures compliance with the applicable HSE instructions, requirements, laws and regulations received from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies.

•DGS assembly, testing, lapping and polishing processes.

•Coordinate with various department to ensure the execution of repair process

•Quality control of DGS process

Qualifications

•Diploma or University degree in Engineering or relevant vocational technical qualification.

•3+ years of professional experience.

•ERP knowledge in SAP

•lapping and polishing knowledge.

•A good technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio
