Smith Industries is seeking an experienced Blaster / Coatings Technician to join our growing operations team. This role is responsible for preparing, blasting, and coating tanks, vessels, and fabricated products in accordance with company standards and safety requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial blasting and coating applications, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship in a production environment. 


Qualifications:

  • Ability to  coat inside of tanks, vessels, and other products using Sherwin Williams epoxies. 

  • Should have experience using airless and conventional spray equipment. 

  • Should know the processes for coating, blasting, and/or painting. 

  • Must be able to handle blast media hoses’ weight during blasting operations (60LB) and spray in a sustained, consistent pattern. 

  • Should know how to drive and work off scissor lift, ladders, and scaffolds for application and blasting, following all appropriate Safety procedures. 

  • Ability to disassemble, repair, and re-assemble spray equipment if needed. 

  • 2+ years experience preferred. 


Average 50 hours per week.
