About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Associate Civil Engineer to join our team in Townsville, where you’ll help deliver major transport infrastructure projects that make a real impact across Queensland. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with one of Australia’s leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancies, right here in Townsville.
As a Senior Associate Civil Engineer, you'll take the lead on a range of significant road and highway infrastructure projects. You’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, drive project delivery from concept to completion, and play a key role in expanding our local presence through business development and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Leading and managing the design and delivery of road and highway projects across Queensland
Developing project teams and mentoring junior engineers
Building strong client relationships and securing repeat and new business
Contributing to strategic business development across the region
Managing projects exceeding $1 million in value, on time and to budget
Preparing and reviewing high-quality technical reports
About You
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent
Minimum 10 years’ experience in road and highway design, with strong QLD market knowledge
Proven experience in project management and delivery within a consultancy environment
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the broader business and marketing context
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
Willingness to travel as needed (domestic or international)
