The Role

We are seeking a well-rounded Principal Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) Advisor, on an initial 12-month fixed term contract, to formalise and embed our inclusion strategy across our ANZ Region. This is a pivotal subject-matter expert role for an individual who can translate strategy into action, shaping culture, strengthening governance, and embedding inclusive practices across the full employee lifecycle.

As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you’ll champion safe, accessible and inclusive work environments where people experience belonging and are empowered to perform at their best.

This role delivers measurable business value through enhancing talent attraction and retention, driving innovation, mitigating risk, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and creating positive social impact. Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively developing and implementing the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging policies, practices and programs that are aligned to the SJ Group ANZ Region’s strategy;
  • Implementing and operationalising initiatives that drive best practice in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging that enhance culture, communication and engagement;
  • Actively building and maintaining strong and effective internal and external stakeholder relationships that contributes to an inclusive workplace

About You

Suitable applicants will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Administration or equivalent relevant professional experience within EDIB
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration and consultation skills at all levels of the business;
  • Strong skills in coaching and influencing senior leaders to drive change;
  • High level communication skills;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance;        

With demonstrated experience in:

  • Creating, implementing and delivering EDIB strategy in matrix organisations
  • Delivering diversity and inclusion within a professional environment;
  • Understanding business value aligned to diversity, equity and inclusion plans;
