The Role

We’re looking for a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Roads & Highways team in Sunshine Coast. This role offers hands-on experience across project delivery, technical design and professional collaboration, supported by experienced engineers who are invested in your development.

As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll work under supervision to support the successful delivery of projects while building your technical and professional capability.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply project management principles to deliver assigned tasks on time, within scope and budget
  • Assist with detailed design, analysis and technical documentation
  • Use standard engineering and scientific methods to solve problems
  • Work on defined components of larger projects under guidance
  • Follow document management, quality, safety and environmental requirements
  • Proactively manage your time and seek feedback to continuously improve your work
  • Actively participate in team meetings, training and development activities
  • Support Senior Engineers with designs, calculations, reports and specifications
  • Contribute to proposals and other project documentation
  • Develop an understanding of commercial and financial aspects of projects
  • Apply relevant legislation, standards and professional ethics in your work
  • Build your technical knowledge and chosen engineering specialisation
  • Help clarify client and stakeholder needs to support effective solutions
  • Work collaboratively, valuing the input of others and knowing when to seek assistance
  • Build strong internal and external professional relationships

About You

Suitable applicants will be/have:

  • A recent graduate in Engineering (or soon to graduate)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • In interest in developing both technical expertise and commercial awareness
