About this role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

      1. Implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239).
      2. Work closely with Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting teams to address data quality gaps 
      3. Conduct training sessions on data quality policies and tooling. 
      4. Design and Implement DQ Rules: Develop functional Data Quality (DQ) rules for Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting domains. 
      5. This includes rules for Risk Metrics, Finance (General ledger controls, reconciliation rules etc), compliance, Regulatory Reporting etc. 
      6. Regulatory Reporting Focus: 
      7. Collaborate with various teams in the bank to implement DQ rules that address key metrics for regulatory reports/ specific use cases. 
      8. Ensure data quality and lineage for risk aggregation and risk reporting as per BCBS 239 requirements
      9. Work with teams managing Regulatory Reporting Solutions and workflows to ingest DQ results into Collibra.
      10. Implement Collibra DQ Issue Management workflows, including root cause analysis, remediation actions, and tracking closures.
      11. Integrate Collibra with Azure Data Lake, Alteryx, and Vermeg to capture and display DQ results.
      12. Develop dashboards within Collibra for DQ scores, regulatory compliance tracking, and exception management.
      13. Configure and manage Collibra DQ Rules, Workflows, and Scorecards, integrating them with the Business Glossary and Data Dictionary.
      14. Develop end-to-end data lineage using Collibra, connecting regulatory reports to source systems.

  1. To perform other duties as assigned by the Management and HOD.
  2. To relief or cover duties of staff members in the department in his/her absence.
  3. Ensure timely escalation to Supervisor/Management in case of any issues.

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

 

Academic Qualification (Degree / Diploma etc.) / Professional Qualification / Certification

 

  1. Bachelor's/ University degree in Computer Science, Finance, or Data Management
  2. Professional certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP, Collibra, DGSP, CIMP), risk management (e.g., GARP, PRIMIA) are a plus.

 

 

Working Experience (Years / Type)

 

 

  1. 6 to 8 years in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Data Management roles within the banking or financial services industry.
  2. Strong understanding of banking regulatory requirements, including BCBS 239, and other regional regulatory reporting requirements in APAC
  3. Proven experience with data quality rules design in various domains (risk, finance, compliance, regulatory reporting)
  4. Experience engaging with Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and Audit stakeholders to define and resolve DQ issues.
  5. 3 years of experience with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, with expertise in Collibra DQ Rule Development (custom and out-of-the-box rules), Collibra Workflow Management (DQ issue workflows and approvals), Metadata and Lineage Management using Collibra
  6. Collibra DQ Scorecard Development
  7. Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Alteryx to support DQ rule execution and integration.
  8. Experience integrating Collibra with Azure Data Platform, Vermeg Regulatory Reporting Solution, Moodys Risk Confidence solution. 
  9. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
