Sloomoo Inc. is an interactive experience, based on slime and all things #satisfying. Founded in late 2019 by two best friends who found slime healing during difficult times, the mission of the company is to deliver joy. Playing with slime taps into four of the five senses: it's visually mesmerizing; it smells delicious (Sloomoo slimes are hand-made and scented); it offers soothing ASMR sounds; and it feels both relaxing and playful.

There are seven locations - New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Boston, and King of Prussia, PA - with more on the way. Mission driven, the brand supports mental fitness through a partnership with the Goldie Hawn Foundation's MindUP and is committed to neurodiverse inclusivity (the aim is for 10% of the workforce to be neurodiverse, including people who bring job coaches to work).

Position Summary 

The role of porter is critical to the success of Sloomoo. The porters will work under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor and in collaboration with the Managers on Duty and assist with the physical upkeep and maintenance of the facility. The ideal candidate is a highly capable and dedicated team member who is able to fulfill basic building and attraction maintenance work as well as maintain the cleanliness of upkeep of the facility. Porters keep the venue and production areas clean, safe and in mint condition.

Responsibilities:  

• Washes windows and mirrors.
• Takes out the trash and recycling.
• Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms.
• Handles leaf and snow removal as needed.
• Follow instructions from the facilities supervisor.
• Sweeps, mops, polishes, and vacuums floors.
• Mows lawns, waters plants, and removes litter.
• Uses common cleaning tools and outdoor power equipment.
• Organizes the janitor closet and stores all supplies and tools.
• Completes minor repairs, like switching light bulbs and unclogging toilets.
• Notifies the Facilities Supervisor when major repairs are needed.
• Fills out checklists at the end of every shift.
• Locks the doors at the end of night shifts.
• Follows safety rules and precautions.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures
• Keeping the site clean.
• Receiving positive reviews about the facility.
• Anticipating team needs for supplies.
• Works well independently and has strong time management skills.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors.
• Collaborates with other porters and maintenance workers as needed.
• Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
• Other Duties as assigned by management. 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 Experience as porter in hospitality, restaurant or other relevant industry.
•  Requires flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
