About this role
Skyline Education South Campus is looking for a talented Dance Teacher with cheer experience that is looking to take our dance program to the next level. All students in Pre K-12 (grade levels divided between 2 teachers) students take a dance class and in 7th-12th grades students choose Dance as there Focus Class. We are looking for a teacher that is willing to teach many different types of dance techniques along with the history of Dance and supporting the team with our Annual School Productions.
Dance Teachers usually perform many of the following tasks:
• Monitoring student´s performance.
• Planning activities.
• Instructing students at various levels.
• Making suggestions to students.
• Adapting teaching methods to meet student´s needs.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in General Dance or equivalent
- State teaching certificate/licensure appropriate for grade level and subject area preferred
- Solid working knowledge of the concepts, activities, and techniques related to teaching general music and vocal performance.
- Strong foundation in classroom management
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the school district relevant to the tasks and responsibilities of the position
- Professional experience and working artist mindset.

What you'll do
- The Dance Teacher will instruct students in various dance techniques and the history of dance while supporting the team with annual school productions. They will also monitor student performance and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
