Manufacturing Support Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, following technical manuals and schematics
- Diagnose issues by observing machine operation, listening for abnormal sounds, and using testing tools to identify root causes
- Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts, inspecting components for wear, and ensuring proper dimensional specifications
- Adjust, repair, or replace mechanical and control parts to restore optimal device performance
- Install and set up structural and functional components, lubricate and clean parts, and conduct testing to verify repairs
- Operate metalworking tools such as drill presses and grinders to fabricate or repair parts as needed
- Monitor equipment operation, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and accurately document maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed
- Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of systems and equipment
- Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and calibrations to ensure machinery operates within specifications
Manufacturing Support Technician Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, installation, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
