Overview: The HR Support Specialist acts with personal, professional, and behavioral integrity-maintaining strict confidentiality of all department and system information. He/She is expected to provide exceptional customer and consultative service in order to answer questions about organizational policies, procedures, processes, benefits, and HR services. He/She completes projects and tasks as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer, Employee Relations Manager, or HR Operations Director. The Human Resource Support Specialist will assist with complex and specialized administrative tasks including, managing and overseeing records, and generating reports to support effective and efficient operations of the human resource department
Education: Must demonstrate exceptional
superior customer service skills and professional etiquette. He/She must have
knowledge of general human resource practices. Must have the ability to
handle high volume of calls and face-to-face interactions daily while
maintaining a positive attitude. Must be able to multi-task in a high-volume
setting. Must be able to work in a highly structured, measurement-oriented
environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
License:
N/A
Certifications:
Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
Experience:
Three years of office experience preferred, with at least one year in
human resources highly preferred.

Human Resources Officer, Employee Relations Manager, HR Operations Director

Physical Demands:
Work is moderately sedentary:
involves sitting with requirements to move about the facility, and to travel
to another facility within the SRHS service area. Work involves using
repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard copier
and 10-key. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Work involves being able to perceive
the nature of sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction; the
ability to make fine discriminations in sound. Work requires close visual and
acuity and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus,
i.e. shift gaze from viewing a computer monitor to forms/printed material
that are closer to compare data at close vision.
Mental Demands:
Work requires high attention to
detail and accuracy. Must demonstrate keen mental faculties/assessment and
decision-making abilities. Must demonstrate superior
communication/speaking/enunciation skills to receive and give information (in
person and by telephone). Must demonstrate strong written communication
skills, to include the ability to write policies, instructional documents,
and memos. Must possess emotional stability conducive to dealing with high
stress levels. Must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines.
Special Demands:
Position requires the candidate to
effectively demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in utilizing Microsoft Access,
Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Must demonstrate accurate numeric and alpha/numeric
data entry skills. Epic, or other electronic medical record experience,
preferred.
Must demonstrate a willingness to
learn and remain current on technology, skills, and relevant HR policies,
procedures, processes, and programs. Must demonstrate the ability to adapt to
particular conditions, situations and people. Must be able to work with
diverse cultures and populations.
Job requires traveling throughout the
SRHS service area-with the employee providing his/her own transportation. Must
have a valid driver license.
