Singer Equipment Company is seeking a dependable Non-CDL Driver / Shop Support team member to support operations in the Savannah, TN area. This role combines local and regional delivery responsibilities with hands-on shop support and general labor. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable driving a box truck, and willing to assist with a variety of shop-related tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and welding support.

This is a day-shift position offering steady hours, competitive pay, and a collaborative work environment. Monday - Friday 6AM - 2:30PM with some overtime.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Driving & Delivery

• Operate a 30-foot box truck to complete scheduled deliveries between Singer locations and customer sites

• Perform regional day trips (typically 2–4 trips per month), including routes to Meridian, MS and Memphis, TN

• Load and unload equipment and materials, occasionally assisting with collaborative unloading at delivery sites

• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Maintain accurate communication with supervisors using handheld or mobile devices

Shop Support & General Labor

• Assist with general shop operations, including plumbing, electrical work, welding support, and equipment handling

• Use power tools and shop equipment safely and effectively

• Support specialized shop tasks such as laser operations (training provided as needed)

• Help organize, move, and stage materials within the shop and warehouse

• Assist with unloading freight from inbound trucks as needed

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Proactively identify and report workplace hazards

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• No CDL required

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• DOT health card required (must pass physical and drug screening)

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, reach, squat, and bend throughout the shift

• Experience with welding, plumbing, electrical work, or power tools strongly preferred

• Comfortable using basic technology (handheld devices, mobile phones)

• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed

• Safety-focused with good communication and organizational skills
