The Role

Simply.TV is all about creating the world’s best and richest TV, movies and series data. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to lead our team of data editors across various domains. In this pivotal role, you will oversee day-to-day operations, drive quality and performance across your team, and ensure we deliver best-in-class metadata to some of the world’s top broadcasters and platforms.

This role is perfect for someone who combines a sharp eye for data, a structured leadership style, and experience from B2B tech environments — ideally within media, metadata, or content operations. Responsibilities

You are successful when you:

  • Lead a team of data editors responsible for the German-speaking market.
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure high performance, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the metadata quality pipeline — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery to clients.
  • Translate client needs into team objectives and implement scalable solutions for ongoing editorial tasks.
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to guide data and people priorities.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and commercial teams to improve internal tools and workflows.
  • Act as subject matter expert on metadata structure, taxonomy, and client expectations.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new editors and team leads.
Qualifications

You'll thrive in this role if you show:

  • A university degree in a relevant area, e.g. Business, Media, or Data
  • Experience in metadata, content operations, data management, or editorial production in a B2B tech or media environment.
  • Strong experience leading and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach to data.
  • High level of ownership and accountability in a remote-first, fast-paced, international environment.
  • Great collaborative skills that make others love working with you
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same
  • Exceptional written and spoken English and German (native preferred).
  • A passion for media, entertainment, and driving excellent user experiences.

Why join?
