This role provides the day to day maintenance of the mill facilities to promote the effective and efficient use of the mill resources.
Operate welding equipment to repair augers, structural work, and basic equipment in the plant.
Perform electrical repairs in equipment and motors ranging from basic to high voltage.
Daily maintenance and repairs to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the grain facility.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Mill Supervisor.
Other duties may be assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1-2 years of experience in plant manufacturing maintenance.
Experience to include welding, electrical and some fabricating.
Must be a licensed driver of single axle vehicles.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences in English.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
