Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a Inventory Control Specialist to join our Distribution Center in Jackson, TN. This position will managing inventory and conducting audits of shipping labels among other duties.

DUTIES:

 

  • Monitor inventory levels and accuracy in WM
  • Audit waving shorts and reconcile any discrepancies in split case area and reserve pallet racks
  • Research short ships from waving and shorts on the floor
  • Cycle Count as needed
  • Review Transitional Inventory report and cycle count transitional inventory to reconcile
  • Perform Put away/Empty verifications
  • Work with all warehouse departments and Inventory Control to resolve all inventory variances
  • Operate Order Selector as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:        

 

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment
  • Proficient in WM, UOPS
  • Proficient with RF
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for up to 8 hours/day.
  • Able to follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Able to effectively communicate when needed
  • Overtime as needed (both voluntary and mandatory)

 

Location: Jackson, TN

Hours: 1st Shift - 7:30am-4:00pm

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
