Corporate IndianapolisJob Description: The position is primarily responsible for overseeing the operational accounting completed by designated staff assigned to multiple mall properties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the month-end and year-end close process for assigned staff and properties
Review staff journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements for completeness and accuracy
Distributes and/or explains financial statements and information to various parties including outside partners, lenders and internal personnel
Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Review and approve annual budget packages and monthly commentary prepared by staff
Overseeing financial statement audits for assigned properties
Communicate with multiple internal departments, as well as external contacts.
Coordinate property transitions (acquisitions, dispositions, etc.)
Participation in special projects, both routine and occasional, as assigned
Train and develop staff
Minimum Requirements:
BS Degree with a major or concentration in Accounting
CPA preferred, but not required
Strong analytical ability and organizational skills
5+ years work experience in the accounting field
Effective interpersonal and communicative skills
