We’re looking for experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team onsite at Foxleigh to support the fleet of brand new CAT machinery being delivered to site! This is a permanent 7on, 7 off alternating day/night role. 

 

What you’ll be doing 
As an onsite Diesel Fitter at Hastings Deering, you will:  

  • Deliver quality service  carry out maintenance and repairs to the highest standard, ensuring our customers’ equipment performs at its best.  

  • Follow the right procedures – Proactively research, verify, and apply the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications.  

  • Do it once, do it right – take every step to ensure workmanship is fault-free ensuring quality in the finished product and any rework is avoided.  

  • Work to schedule – complete assigned tasks within required timeframes while maintaining safety and quality.  

  • Support genuine parts sales– promote and advise on the use of genuine Caterpillar parts to maximise performance and reliability.

What you’ll need:   

A successful teammate will have experience in:    

  • Safety minded – committed to always maintaining high workplace health and safety standards.  

  • Team player – able to work well with others as well as independently when required.  

  • Experience that counts  previous experience working in the mining industry and experience with CAT Machinery. 

  • Strong communicator – excellent communication skills with a genuine customer focus.  

  • Reliable transport – this role is a Drive in/Drive out role so you will need the ability to get yourself to and from site 

  • Organised and efficient – strong time management skills to keep jobs on track.
