Your new role:

The Assistant General Manager plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Private Aviation Terminal (PAT), ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of services, facilities, equipment and staffing. Working closely with the General Manager, the role supports both the maintenance of existing business and the development of new opportunities within the airport community.

This position requires strong people leadership, managing and developing a team of leaders and frontline colleagues through effective scheduling, training, performance management and engagement. The Assistant General Manager leads operations in line with company policies and standard operating procedures, ensuring clear communication, exceptional guest service and a professional working environment at all times.

Safety, security and compliance are central to the role, with responsibility for regulatory adherence, audits, incident investigations and HSSE administration. The role also oversees ramp operations, fuel quality control, ground support equipment and facility maintenance, maintaining safe, clean and secure operational areas.

As a senior onsite representative, the Assistant General Manager acts as a point of escalation for guest service matters, supports resident relationships and liaises with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a hands-on, flexible approach, with the ability to respond effectively to operational demands, emergency situations and varying working conditions.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years minimum of experience in Aviation Services and/or training in aviation or cargo operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Two years minimum of experience in managing a team is required.
  • Trained and approved to perform required certifications (e.g., towing, deicing) as required by base-specific operations is preferred. Ability to become approved is required. Consideration will also be given to external candidates with experience in these areas.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass company background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, meet airport background check requirements to receive and maintain an airport security badge, and be insurable by the Company's applicable insurance policies.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Excellent vision and coordination to move and/or direct aircraft and visually inspect aircraft fuel.
  • Ability to pass a color vision test for purposes of inspecting aviation fuel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Certain PATs require a commercial driver’s license (CDL) as dictated by local regulations and business needs.
