About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative UX Specialist to join our dynamic team, with a specific focus on designing, evaluating, and enhancing the user experience of endpoint devices such as mobile phones and tablets. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of mobile UX principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate technical requirements into intuitive and engaging user experiences on mobile platforms. As a UX Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement design solutions that elevate the mobile user experience. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of users interacting with mobile phones and tablets.
  • Develop detailed user personas, journey maps, and use cases to guide and inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other key stakeholders to define and implement innovative UX solutions tailored for endpoint devices.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate and visualize design concepts and ideas.
  • Perform usability testing and gather actionable feedback to continuously refine and improve the user experience on endpoint devices.
  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources to identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of design changes on user satisfaction and engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design, particularly as they relate to mobile and endpoint devices.
  • Advocate for the end-user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that their needs and perspectives are prioritized in all design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive UX design guidelines and standards to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across all endpoint devices

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with iOS, Mac, Windows and Android operating systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data analysis

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in UX design, preferably with a focus on endpoint devices
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX projects and demonstrating your design process and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG) is a plus

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
