As a Systems Integration Engineer II, you will be using your skills and expertise to define, design, simulate, integrate, test, certify, and support cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from state of the art mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You’ll be responsible for designing systems to meet demanding customer requirements, developing and building complex systems integration labs to verify the design, and integrate a variety of systems together to create a seamless product for the customer. As a cross functional engineer, you'll perform system and component-level integration of new products and develop new integration processes throughout the product lifecycle.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including rack configuration, LAN/WAN connectivity, VLAN segmentation, and VPN tunnels to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Design and maintain complex Systems Integration Labs (SILs), including hardware installation, software patching, and system diagnostics to validate designs.
  • Provide technical support for system-level integration of new products, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software compatibility issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user guides, and compliance audits, to support integration efforts.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 2 or more years of related experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams
  • Understanding of requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
  • Technical problem solving skills and ability to develop innovative technical solutions.
  • Ability to guide technical designs through development into a final deliverable product.
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision.
  • Proven successful experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
