About this role

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.

NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring optimal performance of facilities and systems.

  • Develop and implement advanced maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns and enhance efficiency.

  • Conduct expert-level troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Lead training programs for maintenance staff to ensure high competency levels.

  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to service agreements.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Currently Serving as ACTIVE DUTY military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Mastery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Experience with safe use of tools and equipment.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master-level certification in a relevant technical field (e.g., HVAC, electrical).

  • Extensive experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Mastery of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Experience working with hand and power tools.

  • Ability to drive a forklift.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work on-site.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Ability to stand and walk for most of the work shift.

  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment.

  • Ability to work in potentially hazardous or loud environments.

  • Ability to travel as required.
