Job Overview

The Receptionist is the first impression of the hospital to incoming staff and visitors.  The Receptionist operates the hospital's telephone switchboard system and assists visitors, answers the telephone, directs calls, pages and takes messages.  The Receptionist greets and directs visitors, receives donations, types and performs other clerical duties.

 

This position is a per-diem role and will provide shift coverage for our Receptionist.  This would include weekend as well as weekday hours.  

Responsibilities

  • Answers the hospital switchboard telephone promptly and directs calls to proper individual
  • Register visitors to obtain a visitor badge
  • Greets visitors and staff courteously and with a smile, and directs them to proper personnel
  • In the absence of donor development, receives monetary and material donations

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or GED preferred.

 

Skills

2 years receptionist experience preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish required

Strong sense of customer service is vital to this role
