Overview:
Assists in handling a company's inventory; and keeps inventory operations smooth and efficient in the stock room, warehouse, or receiving department.
Processes inventory orders, logs items that have been received and items that have been taken from inventory, and moves product from the stock room or warehouse to the required location, and vice versa.
Inspects shipments of new stock as they come in, checks to make sure orders have been filled correctly, and looks for damage; and makes arrangements to correct damaged or incorrect orders.
Work Shift and Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
Compensation Details:
The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $18.00 per hour depending on experience.
Additional Information:
Steel toed boots required.
Typical Functions:
Unloads and loads inventory trucks and places items in their proper place in the stock room or warehouse.
Prepares and applies shipping and mailing labels to items that are being shipped out of the company to fulfill orders or replace damaged stock.
Double-checks all prices to ensure that the amount charged for each item matches the amount paid.
Researches prices with various suppliers to make sure that stock is being purchased at the best possible price from vendors.
May assist on a retail sales floor, fulfilling tasks like running the cash register and assembling sales displays.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
