Job Description:

What’s the role

As the Laboratory Technician, you will support the Supply Chain function by carrying out routine and non‑routine testing of product samples to ensure quality standards are met. Your role is essential in maintaining the reliability, consistency, and safety of laboratory operations while contributing to the overall product quality assurance process.

This position is hands‑on and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in recording results, and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams such as Manufacturing, Logistics, and Warehouse.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carry out all routine quality control tests on part-finished and finished products and on incoming raw materials and ensure data is recorded according to the quality system

  • Ensure test equipment is maintained in a serviceable, calculated and presentable condition and that test procedures are up to date

  • Issue Test Certificates upon request

  • Ordering of laboratory consumables in a timely and efficient manner

  • Maintain high housekeeping standards

  • Record and maintain the database of test results

  • Report on adverse trends in quality

  • Resolve day-to-day issues involving the routine testing service

  • Assist in any further departmental investigations as required

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with hands-on laboratory experience, preferably within an industrial quality control environment

  • Capable of performing full‑shift, on‑feet work as required by laboratory operations.

  • Strong numerical skills with confident verbal and written communication, particularly when discussing technical matters

  • Demonstrated laboratory experience and confidence working in a laboratory environment, with a genuine interest in science

  • Punctual, honest, polite, and reliable; able to work independently with a high degree of dependability
