<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Title</b></p>Plant T1 | 2nd Shift | Rugs Finishing Operator II<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Position Overview</b></p><div><div>Job Description</div></div><div><div><div><div><p><b>I. <u>Essential Duties:</u></b></p><ul><li>Communicate with Cut Table Operators to receive order information needed to setup cut orders</li><li>Apply the appropriate edge materials as needed, whether it be surging with yarn, binding, taping, etc.</li><li>Print rug identification labels and iron onto the of each rug</li><li>Check for quality issues with rugs before sending to the packout area</li><li>Work in the packout area to rollup rugs onto cores or stack on pallets and wrap in plastic</li><li>· Print shipping labels to apply to outside of packaging</li><li>Communicate with Lift Truck Operator or drive the lift truck to scan and load packages onto the trailer for shipping</li><li>Work on R&D projects as needed to support the department</li><li>Perform job duties inside and outside of the Rugs Department as needed to support plant operations</li></ul><p></p><p><b>II.<u> Non-Essential Duties:</u></b></p><ul><li>General housekeeping duties</li><li>Communication well with management to address departmental needs</li><li>Maintain the integrity and security of an array of sensitive and technical tools</li><li>Perform job duties in a safe manner</li><li>Work night, weekends and holidays when required to meet customer orders</li><li>Actively participate in various committees</li></ul><p></p><p><b>III. <u>Education and Experience:</u></b></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent</li><li>Must have good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills</li><li>Must be able to work independently, without close supervisor</li><li>Computer skills with current software experience</li><li>Previous experience as Finishing Operator in Rugs Department preferred</li><li>LTO Certification recommended but not required</li></ul></div></div></div></div><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Work Shift</b></p>8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM<p></p><div>Shaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.</div>
