HR Trainer

<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Title</b></p>HR Trainer<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Position Overview</b></p><p>Shaw Industries is looking for an HR Trainer to provide hands-on training and support to help associates build and maintain the skills necessary for safe, efficient, and effective performance. This role ensures all Ringgold Distribution associates receive training on SAFE & Shaw Management Systems requirements and maintains related documentation. The trainer will deliver plant-specific job and safety training for all associates.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Training Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Conduct new employee orientation.</p></li><li><p>Train associates on company and plant-specific procedures and policies.</p></li><li><p>Develop, update, and maintain training materials and records.</p></li><li><p>Maintain and organize filing system for training and orientation records in compliance with retention standards.</p></li><li><p>Act as a liaison between management, supervisors, associates, and HR to ensure consistent training.</p></li><li><p>Support associates’ transition from training to work performance by providing guidance and answering questions</p></li><li><p>Conduct and participate in meetings and required training.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with plant management and associates to foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, production and housekeeping as it relates to safety.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all associates are trained on the SMS system and to maintain documentation that supports those functions.</p></li><li><p>Maintain confidentiality in all training and safety-related matters.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Perform EHS inspections and internal SAFE audits to ensure compliance.</p></li><li><p>Update and maintain site-specific SAFE programs and compliance documentation.</p></li><li><p>Act as a safety leader, driving awareness and improvement.</p></li><li><p>Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.</p></li><li><p>Ensure EHS communication boards / electronic platforms and training materials are current.</p></li><li><p>Support regulatory compliance with OSHA, RCRA, EPA, and DOT.</p></li><li><p>Ensure effective communication and education on SAFE programs, the Environmental Handbook, and SMS.</p></li><li><p>Create and modify training content to include weekly safety meetings and first day back information.</p></li><li><p>Partner with Maintenance to address EHS-related work orders.</p></li><li><p>Oversee SDS management and ensure proper chemical safety training.</p></li><li><p>Manage safety programs for PPE, including safety eyewear and footwear.</p></li><li><p>Conduct routine plant walk-throughs</p></li><li><p>Build trusting relationships with Supervisors and fellow associates.</p></li><li><p>Work in various environmental conditions, including noise, temperature ranges, and high-traffic areas.</p></li><li><p>Provide coaching and act as a resource on EHS issues for hourly associates.</p></li><li><p>Act as a backup for the EHS manager.</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned by management.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li><p>Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent listening, interpersonal, and Training</p></li><li><p>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.</p></li><li><p>High school diploma/GED required</p></li><li><p>Flexible to work off-shift hours and weekends</p></li><li><p>Strong time management skills and a positive attitude</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred</b></p><ul><li><p>Experienced Lift Truck Operator preferred</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Workday learning training program be able to communicate verbally and in writing to groups of associates.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to climb stairs several times a day.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to handle up to 50
