Plant ManagerPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Plant Manager who will be able to provide strategic leadership for the Turf Fiber and Color Compounding Manufacturing facility in Bainbridge, Georgia. The position will direct activities for the facility leadership team to ensure achievement of plant safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals.
The facility is growing and modernizing to support Shaw’s turf business.

Responsibilities:
- Provide and ensure excellence in Leadership to maintain the Bainbridge facility as the industry leader in providing low-cost, high-quality turf while utilizing newly engineered raw materials and extrusion technologies.
- Assure internal partner relationships are positively maintained through open communication and that customer satisfaction needs are met with on-time and quality products.
- Oversee and manage facility P&L, operational expenditures/budget, and strategic planning activities.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement manufacturing techniques and employ these to consistently upgrade facility standards, practices, products, and more.
- Create an environment that fosters teamwork, innovation and relentless pursuit of improvement.
- Ensure a facility atmosphere that provides associates opportunity for advancement and support succession planning.
- Represent Shaw Industries in the local community and promote organizational goodwill.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree; engineering degree preferred.
- 5 + years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Polymerization, Extrusion, and Color Compounding (Textiles)
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Turf Manufacturing knowledge
