About this role


 

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
  • Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
  • Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities
Provide superior guest services including check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements; Provide information and services to any guest or visitor in a friendly, professional manner. 

Qualifications
 

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Computer experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Shaner has an immediate opportunity at our Holiday Inn (98 rooms) located in Jacksonville, Florida.  The hotel is on the East Loop of I-295 and Baymeadows Road, Southeast of downtown Jacksonville. It is convenient located close to shops and eateries at the St. Johns Town Center and The Avenues shopping mall. The University of North Florida, Mayo Clinic and Florida State Community College South Campus are all nearby. The hotel is only 15 minutes to the Beaches, and 14 miles from Jacksonville’s Timucuan Ecological and Historical Preserve that offers hiking, biking, kayaking and other activities.  With approximately 4000 sq/ft. The hotel’s conference and banquet space are the largest in the area, great for meetings and social functions.
