About this role

We’re not just transforming payments; we’re redefining how people discover, interact with, and purchase the things they love while driving real impact on merchant sales through increased conversions and higher order values. As we continue to shape the future of fintech and retail, we’re building an innovative, dynamic team passionate about creating more than just a transaction but a truly unique shopping journey. If you’re excited about pushing boundaries in tech and delivering a game-changing experience for consumers and merchants alike, come join us at Sezzle and help create the future of shopping!

About the Role:

We are seeking a Product Marketing Associate to own a portfolio of products and drive their success across the full product marketing lifecycle — from discovery through launch, optimization, and iteration. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values structured thinking, and is excited to take ownership of meaningful product initiatives.

While this role is aligned to a defined group of products, prioritization is driven by company-level goals and key performance metrics, not equal attention across every surface. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to continuously assess where Product Marketing effort will have the greatest impact, and dynamically focus time and resources accordingly — meaning some products or initiatives may require deeper focus at different points in time.

What You'll Do:

Own product marketing for a defined set of products, following the full Product Marketing lifecycle: Discover & Validate → Shape & Plan → Launch & Learn → Optimize & Scale → Learn & Feed Forward

Conduct customer discovery through surveys, qualitative feedback, and behavioral data

Synthesize insights across multiple data sources into clear, actionable narratives

Define positioning, messaging, and value propositions for your products

Partner closely with Product and Design to influence UX, flows, and in-product copy

Develop go-to-market plans including target audiences, channels, cohorts, and success metrics

Execute launches across in-app surfaces, lifecycle messaging, and marketing channels

Monitor adoption and performance post-launch, identifying opportunities to iterate and improve

Run and evaluate experiments to drive engagement, conversion, retention, or revenue

Document learnings and outcomes to inform future product and marketing decisions

What We Look For:

2–4 years of experience in Product Marketing, Growth, Lifecycle Marketing, or a related role

Strong analytical thinking and comfort using data to inform decisions

Clear, concise communicator who can distill complex ideas into actionable insights

High ownership and accountability for outcomes, not just outputs

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering

Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel without losing focus or quality

Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making progress with incomplete information

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting launches for consumer-facing or mobile products

Familiarity with experimentation, A/B testing, or lifecycle optimization

Experience with subscriptions, fintech, or marketplace businesses

Experience writing in-product messaging, lifecycle communications, or UX copy

Strong documentation and presentation skills

About You:

You have relentlessly high standards - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high. You are continually raising the bar and driving those around you to deliver great results. You make sure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed.

You’re not bound by convention - your success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things

You need action - speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. We value calculated risk-taking.

You earn trust - you listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully.

You have backbone; disagree, then commit - you can respectfully challenge decisions when you disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. You have conviction and are tenacious. You do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion. Once a decision is determined, you commit wholly.

You deliver results - you focus on the key inputs and deliver them with the right quality and in a timely fashion. Despite setbacks, you rise to the occasion and never settle.

What Makes Working at Sezzle Awesome:

At Sezzle, we are more than just brilliant engineers, passionate data enthusiasts, out-of-the-box thinkers, and determined innovators. We believe in surrounding ourselves with only the best and the brightest individuals. Our culture is not defined by a certain set of perks designed to give the illusion of the traditional startup culture, but rather, it is the visible example living in every employee that we hire.

#Li-remote #Full-time
