SUMMARY

The FP&A Senior Financial Systems Analyst supports the work of both the Finance and Technology teams, enabling Sevita’s budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes through modern, well‑controlled financial systems. This role focuses on hands‑on system configuration, data integrity, and continuous improvement of FP&A tools (primarily Oracle EPM), helping finance leaders and operators make timely, data‑driven decisions.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.  

  • Own day‑to‑day administration and optimization of FP&A systems (Oracle EPM, Essbase, and related tools) supporting budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long‑term planning.
  • Lead ongoing process improvement initiatives by identifying bottlenecks in planning workflows, standardizing templates, and leveraging automation (EPM scripting, APIs, integrations with ERP/data warehouse) to reduce cycle times and improve data quality.
  • Configure and maintain metadata, hierarchies, business rules, calculations, and reporting structures aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through reconciliations between Oracle ERP and Oracle EPM, maintaining SOX compliance and strong internal controls.
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Operations to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Support enhancements and minor projects, including testing, validation, documentation, and deployment.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate manual processes, and improve forecast cycle times.
  • Provide expert end‑user support to corporate and field finance users; troubleshoot issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain clear system documentation, process flows, and user guides.
  • Assist with training and change management to improve adoption and effective use of FP&A tools.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate IT and external support partners on system stability, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Makes configuration and design decisions within established FP&A system architecture.
  • Influences how data is structured and consumed across budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
  • Direct impact on forecast accuracy, planning efficiency, and confidence in management reporting.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of an effective control environment under SOX 404 for the accounting operations overseen.  This includes both key and non-key controls and extends to the timely updating and modification of control design where necessary and the oversight of control remediation activities should exceptions be encountered in testing.Performs other related duties and activities as required.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required for the Job

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting financial planning systems or finance transformation initiatives.

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle EPM / Essbase or comparable enterprise FP&A platforms.
  • Strong understanding of FP&A processes, internal controls, and data governance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical partners and finance stakeholders

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal Office Work, Data Entry: Sedentary work.  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
