Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a night shift position consisting of Full-time hours - non-exempt.
Shift: Mon- Fri - 40 hrs. per week
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Floor Technician you will perform flooring projects in various buildings.
Duties consist of:
Floor Work
• Floor buffing and waxing
• Carpet cleaning
• Tile and grout scrubbing
Project Work
• Window washing
• High dusting/vent cleaning
• Floor machine maintenance and cleaning
• Commercial cleaning fill-in
• Delivering supplies to buildings
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
•Experience operating floor equipment. Experience cleaning carpets, stripping and waxing floors, and buffing.
•Some knowledge of janitorial safety procedures & compliance of all regulations regarding chemical storage and handling.
Skills
•Reliable and hard working.
•Independence. Willingness to complete tasks and go the extra mile without being directed.
•Communication skills.
•Efficiency and time management
Education
• High School Diploma w/ 2-5 years experience in floor work.
Licenses & Requirements
•Valid Driver’s License
•Valid Auto Insurance – no more than 2 motor vehicle violations in the past 3 years
Physical Demands
•Walking, standing, bending over, kneeling
•Work in both office and commercial environments (PPE use required in some locations).
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
