An exciting opportunity has arisen for multiple new and experienced Mechanical Apprentices to join Service Stream undertaking the UU MECS contract

About the Role

Service Stream’s Utilities division are currently seeking multiple new and experienced Mechanical Apprentices to join our growing company. The Mechanical Apprentice carries out tasks in support of the Mechanical program under instruction of a qualified Mechanical Fitter

Nature of position:               Permanent, Full Time

Location:                               Brisbane, QLD

Reporting Line:                    Mechanical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead with Safety front of mind and be an advocate for our values Delivery, People and Accountability
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on various water and wastewater infrastructure to ensure assets are performing at their best
  • Perform Wastewater, Water Construction and Maintenance tasks
  • Undertake and participate in job and plant hazard identification and incident notifications
  • Attend and actively participate in team and toolbox meetings
  • Lead or assist in the completion of a job through the mobile field computing system
  • Installation and augmentation of major assets/ plant/ installations
  • Maintenance job compliance and ensuring processes and procedures are followed to maintain a safe workplace

About You

  • Current Driver’s License
  • Ability to integrate with and cooperate as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work with external personal including sub-contractors and clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel)
