Wastewater Jetting Truck/Ute Operator – SA Water Hope Valley
Service Stream, working in partnership with SA Water, is committed to developing a multi-skilled workforce, offering ongoing training and opportunities to progress your career in both water and wastewater maintenance and construction.

About the Role

Reporting to the Wastewater Supervisor, we are seeking hardworking and self-motivated individuals to join our team at the Hope Valley depot. This role focuses on reactive service and maintenance of SA Water’s wastewater networks across metro Adelaide, specifically operating Jet Trucks and Jet Utes. You will be responsible for using high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear blockages in underground sewer networks while working on SA Water infrastructure.

Nature of position:           Permanent, Full Time
Location:                             Hope Valley ,South Australia
Reporting Line:                  Supervisor 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Undertake reactive and emergency maintenance and associated tasks, ensuring the appropriate use of works management systems and procedures to facilitate optimum efficiency and effectiveness of work delivery
•    Undertake planned/preventative maintenance and minor works, ensuring the appropriate use of works management systems and procedures to facilitate optimum efficiency and effectiveness of work delivery

Health, Safety & Environment
•    Ensure compliance with legislation and regulations related to health and safety at all times
•    Understand and comply with Service Stream's safety/environmental policies and procedures, and
promote health, safety and environmental initiatives in the field
•    Ensure that HSE risks related to operation and maintenance are considered at all times
•    Actively participate in all site OH&S activities and initiatives

About You

This opportunity will suit a highly motivated and outcome driven individual who has a passion for delivering positive client outcomes, and a knack for effective stakeholder engagement
 

  • Hold a current driver’s licence, relevant tickets, and white card.
  • Skilled in use of hand power tools / small machinery.
  • Enjoy working outdoors, rain, hail, or shine!
  • Day shift 7am – 3.30pm with a rotating afternoon shift (1 in every 5 weeks including on-call and weekend). OR
  • Option for permanent Afternoon Shift – 4pm start – includes penalties
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
  • Complete background checks; police clearance, medical and references.
