Location: Haywards Heath,West Sussex, RH16 1UA

Salary:  £25,314

Schedule: 39 hours per week working Mondays – Thursdays, 6am-2:30 & Fridays 6am- 1:30pm required to work weekends on an adhoc basis.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the area, using your initiative and teamwork to deliver essential services that truly touch lives. From improving daily environments to supporting community wellbeing, your contribution will help create positive impact across Mid Sussex.

What you’ll do as a Street Cleanser

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Carry out both programmed and responsive street cleansing functions using a range of machinery and equipment.
• Understand Contract requirements and ensure all work aligns with the agreed specification.
• Work independently or as part of the team, suggesting improvements to services when needed.
• Complete daily inspections, reporting progress and raising any issues that may affect delivery.
• Maintain machinery cleanliness and ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met.

• Full UK driving licence as this role will involve driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude to teamwork and a self‑motivated approach.
• Willingness to undertake further training to grow your skills.
• Confidence using in‑cab technology and completing simple digital templates.
