Overview
Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist
Location: 2106 Park Avenue Orange Park, Florida 32073
Schedule: Per Diem; Schedule TBD
Compensation: $38.00-$50.00/hour pending experience
Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Per Diem Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
- High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
- Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
- Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
- CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
- Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred

What you'll do
- Responsibilities include supervising assistants and aides, contributing to case management, and maintaining a high standard of care by staying current with occupational therapy research and employing Evidence Based Practice. The therapist will also provide comprehensive and individualized treatment plans, from evaluation through discharge, while building positive relationships with centers and patients.
