Overview

Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy Specialist

Location: 1499 6th Street NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible hoursSalary: Starting at $72,000+/year, based on experienceIncentives:

  • $10,000 sign-on bonus
  • Student loan assistance: $350/month indefinitely

We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist with a focus in Hand Therapy for our outpatient orthopedic center in Winter Haven, FL.

 

Who Should Apply:

  • Newly licensed OTs with Level II fieldwork in hand therapy
  • OTs with 1+ year of current hand therapy experience
  • Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) – preferred but not required

Caseload Includes:

  • Tendon injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Post-operative fractures
  • Splinting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
  • Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.
  • National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED to start. 
  • Newly licensed OT graduates with level 2 fieldwork in hand therapy and Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year current hand therapy
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Valid state driver’s license
