<p><strong>SEK International School Santa Isabel</strong> is seeking to immediately appoint a <strong>PYP Art Teacher</strong> to cover a medical leave within the Infant and Primary School.</p><p>The successful candidate will join a collaborative and international learning environment, contributing to the holistic development of students through high-quality art education aligned with the IB philosophy and SEK values.</p><h3>Mission:</h3><p>To promote students’ holistic learning through carefully planned, delivered, and assessed teaching and learning experiences, ensuring that every student has opportunities to develop academically, physically, and socio-emotionally. The role involves implementing differentiated strategies to meet diverse learning needs and fostering an international mindset consistent with IB principles and SEK values.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Design and deliver engaging Art learning experiences linked to transdisciplinary and disciplinary units of inquiry.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate proactively in Art department meetings and with the wider teaching team.</p></li><li><p>Participate in school events and community activities.</p></li><li><p>Deliver extracurricular Art activities.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with Infant and Primary coordinators, teaching staff, the Arts department, and families to support student development.</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education.</p></li><li><p>Higher Education in Arts or a specialisation in Art Education will be considered an asset.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of <strong>3 years of teaching experience</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Bilingual Spanish and English</strong> (required).</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in the use of educational platforms and digital tools.</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Skills and Competencies:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Creativity and innovation.</p></li><li><p>International-mindedness and growth mindset.</p></li><li><p>Empathy and strong interpersonal skills.</p></li><li><p>Teamwork and collaboration.</p></li><li><p>Strong organisational and communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Flexibility, proactivity, and initiative.</p></li><li><p>Problem-solving abilities.</p></li><li><p>Strong commitment to the school’s mission, values, and definition of learning.</p></li><li><p>Passion for education and personalised student support.</p></li></ul><h3><strong>What We Offer:</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Temporary contract covering a medical leave.</p></li><li><p>Immediate start.</p></li><li><p>Full-time schedule from <strong>8:50 a.m. to 5:10 p.m.</strong></p></li><li><p>Opportunity to work in a well-established international school with a strong IB culture.<br><br><strong>#LI-AG1</strong></p></li></ul>
