What you get to do:

The Seasonal Recruiting Coordinator supports high-volume summer hiring by assisting with candidate communication, interview scheduling, onboarding coordination, and administrative recruiting tasks, helping ensure a smooth and timely hiring process during our peak season.

  • Interview and onboard SeaWorld CA and Sesame Place front-line employees.
  • Serve as front desk receptionist.
  • Create and maintain confidential applicant and employee electronic records.
  • Utilize the HR systems/records interface to on-board new hires.
  • Work on special projects as assigned,
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the HR lobby.
  • Assist internal and external customers by answering questions and directing them to appropriate HR personnel.
  • Complete I-9 verifications and state labor law compliance in accordance with state and federal law.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Handle frequent data entry, filing, faxing and other administrative tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.

What It Takes To Succeed:

  • Associate’s degree preferred or relevant years of experience.
  • Knowledge of human resources functions, including tasks within the employment cycle.
  • Strong computer and phone skills.
  • General understanding of employment laws related to hiring and selection.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience working in the theme park or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high-growth company preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • General understanding of employment laws related to hiring and selection.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook, etc.).

  • Aptitude to learn employment related software.
  • Ability to be onsite at Sea World San Diego M-F 8:30-6 and Saturdays as needed for shifts.

Availability:

  • This is a seasonal role
  • May work up to 6 months
  • During the peak season, must have 5 days of unrestricted availability
  • SeaWorld HR is typically open Monday through Friday during standard business hours and may be scheduled anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • You must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, holidays, & occasional weekends
  • Hours my fluctuate based on business need; may be scheduled 0-40 hours weekly.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Primarily working indoors.
  • May sit/stand for several hours at a time.
  • Frequent change and/or interruptions, responding to highly stressful situations requiring immediate action, independent judgment, and superior problem-solving abilities.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.


COMPENSATION: 17.75 USD Hourly
