About this role

SUMMARY:

Process inedible materials through rendering.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

             

  • Monitor operating systems
  • Perform periodic product audits and visual machinery inspections
  • Basic machinery upkeep and clean in place (CIP)
  • Ensure all products produced follow approved specifications
  • Ability to meet production quota (pull count) as outlined in the functional job analysis
  • Must be licensed and certified in Lock Out/ Tag Out, Confined Space, and Fall Protection
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and utilize proper personal equipment
  • May be assigned other tasks by supervisor if production necessitates

EXPERIENCE:

Meat processing or other manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions.  Ability to work in a diverse workforce, maintain effective working relationships with peers and management.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties of this job.  The employee will work in an environment below 50 degrees and over 80 degrees.  The noise level requires hearing protectors.

 

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Maximum constant stand, walk, reach forward for distance of 24 inches at 37 inch height, hand coordination; occasional lift from floor to waist for 40 lbs, carry for 40 lbs at 15 feet height, push /pull vertical for 30 lbs, push/pull horizontal for 30 lbs, bend crouch, grip, fine motor coordination and climb at the height of 12 inches. PDC Level: Very Heavy

 

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:

The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.
