Staff Full-Stack Engineer, Growth

tl;dr - Our Product Growth team is looking for a Staff Engineer to run high-leverage, data-driven experiments for Scribe’s 5M+ users. You’ll partner with an analytical and product-minded team to brainstorm, plan, build, ship, and analyze rapid improvements across our acquisition, onboarding, expansion, pricing, and usage journeys.

Product Growth at Scribe is different. We don’t just tweak button colors or copy – we reimagine core product interactions. Every member of the team is empowered to experiment across the entire product – from acquisition to onboarding, collaboration to pricing and packaging, expansion and referrals, and more. We set ambitious growth goals, ship multiple experiments each week, and iterate quickly as data comes in. Everyone is comfortable forming data-driven hypotheses, making decisions from results, and moving with urgency. We work cross-functionally with every team in the company to turn insights into shipped product fast.

As a Staff Growth Engineer, you’ll own critical experiments end-to-end: ideation and hypothesis, scoping with Product and Design, building and shipping, measuring impact, and scaling winners with iterative improvements.

You could be a great fit if:

• You have 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally across both frontend and backend (startup experience preferred)

• You thrive in the Build–Measure–Learn loop: designing, running, and analyzing experiments at high velocity

• You enjoy diving into the data to make hypotheses and inform product decisions

• You are user-obsessed: empathetic, curious, and motivated to solve real problems for real people

• You’re curious and constantly playing around with tools and products to draw inspiration from

• You are comfortable working with our tech stack: Django, React (Next.js/Typescript), Mixpanel, and Cursor.

Bonus

• You have 3+ years of experience working on a product growth team

• Experience building lead generation pipelines

• Experience working in Martech

Interview Process

Note: This role requires you to be in the SF office 3 days/week

1. [30 min] Recruiter Chat – An introductory conversation to learn more about the company, team, and opportunity.

2. [45 min] Hiring Manager Informational – A discussion about your background, goals for your next role, and mutual fit.

3. [60 min] Technical Screen – A live CoderPad session focused on front-end code fluency, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication.

4. [3 hours] Onsite (SF Office) – Meet the team for a final round of interviews and join the team for lunch to get a feel for our culture! This will include a technical walkthrough, a growth exercise with our PM Lead, and an executive interview.

Compensation and Benefits

We use trusted market data and a tiered location system to ensure competitive, equitable pay. The range below reflects this; your specific offer will depend on experience, pay parity, and location.

Comp Range: $205,000 - $235,000 + equity + benefits
