About this role

We’re looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Core Engineering Team, which powers some of the most essential experiences at Scribe: viewing and editing Scribe documents, embedding and exporting content, and supporting key integrations. Millions of users rely on these workflows every day.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of impactful projects, collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering, and deliver polished user experiences in React. You’ll focus on usability, performance, and accessibility—helping define how people everywhere interact with the core of our product.

What you'll do

• Build intuitive, performant, and accessible user interfaces in React for core viewing and editing

• Collaborate with design and product to scope, build, and launch features that solve real user problems

• Own projects end-to-end, from technical design through launch and iteration

• Partner with backend engineers to define APIs and data flows for a seamless frontend experience

• Contribute to maintainable, reliable code through thoughtful patterns, testing, and documentation

• Continuously improve the user experience with a focus on quality and detail

What we're looking for

• You have 3+ years of engineering experience

• You have extensive experience with React

• You’re a strong advocate for automated testing

• You’ve seen and can implement engineering best practices

• You’re user-centric, empathetic, and passionate about your work

Bonus

• Experience with our stack: TypeScript, NextJS, Tailwind, React Query, React Testing Library, Playwright

Compensation

$150k - $180k + equity + benefits

We consider several factors when determining compensation, including location, experience, and other job-related factors.
