About this role

Description

  • Assisting in developing and validating system-level requirements to ensure alignment with customer needs and mission objectives
  • Supporting the design, integration, and testing of complex systems by preparing technical documentation, schematics, and system models
  • Monitoring system performance and conducting data analyses to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate system modifications, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensuring compliance with contractual standards
  • Preparing detailed progress reports and maintaining comprehensive records of system configurations, testing procedures, and operational metrics

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in a system engineering role  
  • One or more years of experience shall be related to the design, development, integration, testing, and fielding of communication systems, networks, or technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering discipline, computer science or IT discipline, or technical discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to support system engineering processes including requirements analysis, design evaluation, and integration in accordance with contract specifications
  • Proficient in utilizing systems engineering methodologies and analytical tools to assess system performance and recommend operational enhancements
  • Skilled in interpreting technical documents, schematics, and system models to ensure compliance with DoD and industry standards
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies (e.g., SysML, UML) to improve system documentation and design integrity
  • Proficiency in simulation and analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) to assist in predictive system performance evaluations
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with an aptitude for troubleshooting and process improvement
  • Experience with project management principles and tools to support effective workflow and timely project deliverables
