JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains lobby, elevators, stairways, hallways, and Front Desk area to assure they are clean, neat and free of all rubbish and debris. 
  • Cleans and maintains public restrooms in a neat and orderly fashion to provide fresh and attractive facilities for guests. Restrooms must also be checked on once an hour to assure they remain neat and clean. 
  • Cleans hotel offices to provide clean, neat and fresh work areas. 
  • Cleans locker rooms and other back of the house areas to maintain a clean, safe work environment. 
  • Cleans from outside of hotel in order to provide a clean exterior to the hotel.
  • Reports any unusual or extraordinary problems to assure they are handled in a timely manner. 
  • Adheres to scheduled work hours to assure proper coverage of work assignments. 
  • Understands how to use and maintain floor cleaning equipment. 
  • Acquires working knowledge of hotel and its facilities in order to provide proper information in response to guests' questions.
  • Participates in the overall Hotel Maintenance and cleanliness by reporting any deficiencies in equipment and facilities. 
  • Contributes in minimizing guest complaints. 
  • Ensure a professional attitude and proper attire when on property, ready to serve a guest at any time. 
  • Respond to radio calls professionally and promptly. 
  • Buff, wax and polish floors. Vacuum, shampoo and remove gum spots from carpets as required. 
  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service. 
  • Provide two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork. 
  • Perform various other duties as assigned

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of one (1) year in Housekeeping position preferred
  • Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Team player 
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests
  • Knowledge of cleanliness standards
