Responsibilities:

  • Repair vehicles in a timely manner with the goal of returning the vehicle to factory specifications.

  • Remove vehicle trim without causing further damage to gain access to the vehicle body.

  • Properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair.

  • Remove damaged parts using power tools and/or a cutting torch.

  • Use proper techniques to bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment.

  • Ability to straighten bent vehicle frames using a frame wrack.

  • Grind and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.

  • Able to make cosmetic repairs and aim headlights.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

  • Prior experience as an automotive technician or body shop technician.  Ability to provide a tech school/training completion certificate.

  • The ability to work independently with limited supervision and the motivation to continually increase product knowledge should be evident.

  • A complete and up-to-date set of tools.

  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
