About this role

Job Overview:

Midwest Logistics Systems (MLS), is seeking a Terminal Manager to join our thriving team! MLS has an immediate need for a dynamic, on site, Terminal Manager to be a key liaison between the business, drivers and customers both internal and external. Your primary responsibilities in this position are balancing customer satisfaction and company profitability. Accountabilities include creating operating plans, managing P&L and providing support and direction to all on site associates and drivers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise shipments from supplier to customer and effectively communicate with customers
  • Schedule daily and weekly routes using internal dispatch software
  • Track routes using internal and customer-based systems



Skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum three years verifiable experience in a supervisory role involving DOT/FMCSR requirements for Class A CDL drivers (tractor-trailers) in the trucking industry
  • General understanding of other federal and state employment & labor laws/regulations (including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, etc.)
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills
