Your Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, construct, and maintain scalable data pipelines to automate the collection, transformation, and integration of large datasets from various sources.
  • Data Model Optimization: Develop and optimize data models and architectures to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval that support business analytics and reporting needs.
  • Collaborative Data Solutions: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to implement data solutions that drive strategic business decisions and insights.
  • System Performance Enhancement: Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of data systems, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security consistently.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Create comprehensive documentation for data processes and workflows; ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry regulations.

Your Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
  • Very strong language skills in English (German is a plus)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources and IT systems (e.g., ERP/SAP, DWH/SAP-BW, Web Services, CRM/Salesforce, MES, etc.);
    • Experience with in working with Cloud environments and services, preferably with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, IoT Hub, Databricks, etc.);
    • Expertise in programming languages such as Python or Java and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Software development experience is a plus;
    • Knowledge of ETL techniques and frameworks, such as ADF, PowerCenter, NiFi, Sqoop.
  • Analytical Skills: Data Analysis and Visualization (eg. Power  BI, Tableau)
  • Soft Skills: good communication skills, effective team player, strong organizational skills.
  • Other Qualifications: attention to detail, problem solving attitude.
